I usually use multiline css in development, and use tools to minify the css.

Having a lot of blank spaces and tabs will increase your file size by a small (usually negligible) amount. For most sites, I would suggest not sacrificing the increased readability of indenting for the very small gain in performance.

This is a well written article. Im not sure on css indenting . Will it be bad to have many blank spaces unlike html indenting ? It seems shattered . WHat are your thoughts ?

About SASS, I believe I came across an article on it on News.YC sometime back but I haven’t worked on with Ruby in a while. It looks very interesting, especially for larger, more complex projects that take advantage of ‘mixins’ feature.

On topic, I found your article to be a very good starting point for somebody who’s new to the whole CSS jazz. Have you tried SASS? I find it extremely alluring, but I haven’t had a project to try it on.
