I implemented, but have deactivated for now, the sharebar on my site which works perfectly in Firefox. Shows on the left side of the content. But in IE it is in the middle of the page. Is there a way to fix that?

Hey rowelld, which version of IE? Unfortunately I can't provide support for anything below IE8 as it would be way too time consuming and would probably end up breaking other browsers.
You're welcome to play around with the CSS yourself though, all of the styles used are in
sharebar.cssfile. -

Do you have a URL I can look at where this problem is happening? Chances are there is a conflict with some CSS that is causing this to happen, I can help debug it if I can try it out on my local machine.

I re-enabled it on my site: barb and rowell
It works fine in firefox but displays incorrectly in IE8

That's strange.. the Sharebar is loading fine in Firefox and Safari but completely absent on Safari. I can't even load your blog in IE8 because it's throwing some kind of error. Maybe there's JavaScript conflict with one of the plugins?
Try one of the default themes (Twenty Ten) for a minute just to see if the Sharebar behaves properly. If it doesn't, try turning off some of the other plugins to see if there is a JS conflict. If it does work, that tells you there is likely an issue with the theme itself.

This is weird. I tried loading your site just now and it worked as you said, the Sharebar was in the middle. So I installed IE developer toolbar (check it out if you don't have it) and tried to reload the page but now it's giving me that same error. Specifically, it's saying that:

Rowelld,
I noticed you are using Thesis Theme like I do so I wonder if this is Theis related core css code issue?
Testes your site in Chrome and IE* and it is working now so what solution did you find to crrect the problem?
Thanks -
