I've tried Sharebar before and after that I found Digg Digg and I've unistalled Sharebar. After a while I cleaned my wordpress db using some wp plugins to delete any remainings from old plugins and themes (there was also something from sharebar). Now I've installed sharebar again because I am not very happy with DiggDigg, but the settings are still the same as before when I had sharebar installed (i dont know where it takes the settings if I tried to delete any remainings from it after I previously uninstalled it). Also now Sharbar wont appear on any page or post even if I set it to show up. I also had problems adding new buttons ... I think the db is messed up. Is there anyway to repair it and make it work?

I am having a similar problem. The ShareBar was working fantastic. But then I uninstalled it and on re-install it isn’t working properly. It is now pulling in text from the ShareBar (“Tweet Email”) into my post.
I tried manually adding the code but that doesn’t get me a floating box, but rather just places the buttons within my post.
When I initially uninstalled I used a plugin called "clear options" that removed all database references to ShareBar after uninstalling. However after re-installing it still showed my previously chosen buttons and now it is showing this text (“Tweet Email”) in my posts.
Any fix for this?

it would be good to implement an uninstall option..that would clean the database after we decide to remove sharebar.
My database has the old files after I removed the first version on sharebar..and now when I install a new one it uses whats left from the other..and nothing works.
By the way..dont get ur hopes up.. I've posted on this forum a few months back..and still no answer for my problem.
I suggest you use digg digg...it does the same stuff without causing any problems. I'm using it for 2 months already

i recently overhauled my site and added a new theme and upgraded to 3.1.1 after seeing that the sharbar was gone i tried reverting back to 3.05 but i was not able too.. is there anyway the sharebar will work with 3.1.1? please help!

identical situation. used a database cleaner and now sharebar doesn't work, but old settings are still being found in the database. Can you list all of the database locations the plug-in uses so we can do a clean install. The plugin was so phenomenally useful and I so want it back. Thank you for all you do.
