Sharebar wiped out NextGen gallery with error

I don't think that's possible - Sharebar doesn't modify or effect NextGen gallery at all, unless it somehow uses a database table called wp_sharebar. Maybe it is another plugin you have installed? Have you tried disabling Sharebar and your other plugins to see if you can isolate the problem?
