Sharebar v1.1.3 Released, Almost 10,000 Downloads!

I’ve just updated Sharebar to version 1.1.3, which adds support for disabling the Sharebar widget on individual posts and pages. After you update the plugin, a new option panel should appear in your post and page editing screens at the bottom of the right sidebar – just check that option to disable Sharebar for that post!

Nearing 10k Downloads

Sharebar is my first ever WordPress plugin and it’s amazing to see that it has been installed almost 10,000 times! I’m very curious as to which sites are using the plugin, especially any big ones. If you know of a big blog that uses Sharebar, please let me know in the comments so I can check it out!

    Hey all,

    Quick question. Currently using your Sharebar plugin (which is working great,) but curious if the “Share This Article” tab on the bottom of your site is using the same plugin. Thanks!

      Hey there,

      The ‘Share This Article’ section at the bottom of all posts is actually not from Sharebar, rather it is done using a bit of custom coding and a set of free icons. It’s not too hard to do, as you can imitate it with two unordered lists stacked on top of one another.

      Hope that helps,
      Monji

    Hello Monji

    Great plugin, certainly the closest to Mashable’s I’ve come across. But while your plugin works fine on my single posts, it seems to mess up with the parsing of the_excerpt and the_content_limit WordPress codex, causing the following snippet to be displayed in place of each summary on my front/ home page:

    “(function() { var s = document.createElement(‘SCRIPT’), s1 = document.getElementsByTagName(‘SCRIPT’)[0]; s.type = ‘text/javascript’; s.async = true; s.src = ‘http://widgets.digg.com/buttons.js';... ”

    Could you suggest a solution? Many thanks in advance.

    Exact same problem …
    I tryed to desactivate some plugins and it seems to be ok for me on this point …
    But now I have another problem. The texts used by the plugin (Tweet Share Email) appear at the begining of the ‘excerpted’ text … I guess that you will also have to resolve this prob Vince …
    PS : Thanks to devgrow.com for this incredible plugin !!!
